  • Figure 21 summarizes the percentages of respondents who felt that employee drug use, either on or off the job, had a great effect on a number of issues. Respondents were most likely to feel that the company's image would be greatly affected. Over two-fifths of all respondents also felt that employee drug use had a great effect on employee attendance, workplace safety, and the quality of products or services produced by the company.
  • When compared to results from 1989, significantly more respondents in 1995 indicated that employee drug use had a great effect on attendance, workplace safety, moral and a company's productivity and quality.
